ECO-APT: Energy Consumption and Occupancy – Analysis and Planning Tool
July 16, 2012 in Uncategorized
ECO-APT was developed by Michael Lees and Stuart Swindells to analyse existing computer lab occupancy data and to facilitate future prediction of occupancy levels. The application is designed to parse the raw energy and occupancy data collected, and output graphical information showing occupancy figures at times selected. The application was designed to be scalable so that any lab within the Estate can be set up as a parameter, as can any time period for which data is held (this data is available within the University of Strathclyde over several years). This means that patterns of lab usage can be studied longitudinally and appropriate heating and cooling cycles can be implemented on based on this.
Access ECO-APT at https://bitbucket.org/ucare/ucare/downloads To make use of ECO-APT it is necessary to have locally held energy consumption and/or occupancy data.
